QTIB Engineers seeks a Mid to Senior Substation Engineer to lead HV/MV substation design, protection & control systems, and relay settings from concept through commissioning.

You will perform detailed layouts, develop one-line diagrams and protection schemes, and coordinate with project managers and clients to meet schedules and budgets. Mentoring junior staff and supporting testing and energization are also included.

Qualificações

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering; Electrical preferred for P&C/Relay settings.
• Mid level: EIT certification preferred; Senior level: PE license preferred.
• Mid level: 3-6 years in substation design or relay settings; Senior: 6+ years with leadership experience.
• Strong proficiency in design software and MS Office; experience with industry codes.

Responsabilidades

• Take day-to-day responsibility for engineering judgments, design approaches, and technical solutions.
• Perform detailed engineering and design of HV/MV substations, including layouts and relay systems.
• Develop comprehensive engineering packages with diagrams, wiring, grounding, and specs.
• Conduct studies: short-circuit, grounding, load flow, arc flash, and coordination analyses.
• Lead design reviews, mentor junior staff, and support construction and commissioning.
• Review vendor submittals and ensure compliance with IEEE/NESC/NEC/IEC and client standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and vendors to meet schedules and budgets.
• Establish QA/QC procedures and design templates to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance during construction, testing, and energization activities.
