Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking an Engineering Manager - Substation to provide engineering expertise and leadership across the project lifecycle. You will support field operations, procurement, and key stakeholders within QISG, focusing on high voltage substation projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive engineering experience, P.E. licensure, and a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering (ABET-accredited).
• P.E. licensure required.
• 10+ years in electric utility with HV substation project engineering.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion, including planning and closeout.
• Lead engineers, designers and staff, provide coaching and evaluations.
• Evaluate engineering contractors and consultants.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule targets.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop solutions.
• Travel up to 10-25% as needed.
