Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking an Engineering Manager - Substation to lead design teams across the QISG platform. The role requires strong engineering background, extensive HV substation experience, and the ability to coordinate across project lifecycles from conception through closeout.

The ideal candidate will supervise engineers and designers, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Travel is required up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering.
• P.E. license is required.
• Extensive experience in high voltage substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion (planning, design, construction support, closeout).
• Lead engineers/designers/support staff; provide coaching and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI standards and project controls.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and cost-effective solutions.
• Travel up to 10–25% as required by projects.
