Job summary

Arcadis in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team. You will lead hands-on substation design, studies, and project execution for 4kV–500kV projects, interfacing with clients and internal teams.

The role requires at least 8 years in substation projects, proficiency in AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP, and adherence to NEC/IEEE codes. Travel up to 25% and mentoring of junior staff are expected; PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with at least 8 years of experience in substation projects.
• Experience delivering complete substation packages from 4kV to 500kV.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP, and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, design, and deliver substation packages for 4kV–500kV projects with quality and safety in mind.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, and client engagement activities.
• Coordinate with civil, HV P&C, and other teams to produce construction packages.
• Serve as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, and Technical Lead to support growth.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in client meetings.
