Saab, Inc. is seeking a Subcontracts Manager to lead high-value, complex procurements and manage critical subcontractors. The role requires navigating FAR/DFARS, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance across programs.

The position can be performed remotely or on-site, with up to 25% travel domestically and internationally. Senior-level IC role with responsibilities across supplier management and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 10+ years of experience, or MBA/MS/JD with 8+ years
• U.S. Government, DoD, or FAA contracts experience
• Experience navigating and flowing down FAR/DFARS contract requirements
• Advanced purchasing experience with purchasing fundamentals and ERP orders
• Experience with contracting methods and types
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving with sound judgment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if required

Responsabilités

• Review, interpret, and flow down mandatory requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk.
• Assist Engineering in creating Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Issue RFIs and RFQs to subcontractors and manage the process for complete information.
• Flow-down analyses to ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, FAA, and international requirements.
• Negotiate and manage supplier pricing, cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Execute subcontracts, IDCTs, NDAs, leasing and long-term agreements.
• Prepare contract letters and maintain legal records per U.S. Government requirements.
• Support proposal costing for materials and labor.
• Coordinate with Saab sites and affiliates; travel up to 25%.
• Contribute to Supply Chain metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement.
