Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks a California-registered PE with 7+ years in construction contract management for bridge/structure projects. You will analyze submittals, manage changes, and coordinate with agencies to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include field inspections, contract administration, staff supervision, and client liaison, with travel to BKF locations and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• California-registered Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• 7+ years of construction contract management for bridges/structures.
• Knowledge of CALTRANS procedures and municipal/federal project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent analysis of technical submittals and drawings.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, and testing; prepare communications.
• Perform structure construction engineering for bridges, walls, and pump stations.
• Coordinate with field inspectors and project team to meet goals.
• Administer contracts, prepare change orders, and manage staff.
• Monitor construction schedules and file daily reports and records.
• Serve as primary client/agency contact and assist with recruitment.
