Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking an experienced construction manager/engineer for California projects. The role focuses on independent analysis of submittals, contract administration, and field inspections across bridges, walls, and pump stations.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• California-registered Professional Engineer (PE) required
• 7+ years of construction contract management experience
• Experience with bridge/structures construction projects
• Knowledge of CALTRANS methods and municipal projects

Responsibilities

• Provides independent analysis of technical submittals such as shoring and falsework
• Reviews change orders, submittals, shop drawings and materials testing
• Performs structure construction engineering including bridges and retaining walls
• Works with field inspectors and project team to meet goals
• Executes field inspection and contract administration
• Monitors contractor schedules and prepares daily reports
• Assists with recruitment and performance evaluations
• Coordinates with contractors and agencies on tasks and projects
