Job summary

Pratt & Whitney's ESTO organization seeks a Principal Structures Engineer to support commercial engine programs at Columbus Forge in Columbus, GA. The role focuses on structural analyses of LPC and HPC components and resolving issues with CIPT, ESTO, quality, and manufacturing teams.

You will use hand calculations, 2D/3D finite element modeling, ANSYS, and Pratt & Whitney standards to improve producibility and performance. Documentation and communication of results to stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering and 8 years experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience performing structural analysis of components using ANSYS or similar.
• Ability to manage multiple technical assignments and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analyses for LPC and HPC components.
• Support redesigns to improve producibility and performance.
• Assess quality nonconformances and supplier information requests.
• Collaborate with CIPT, ESTO, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Document analyses and present results to teams and customers.
