Job summary

Pratt & Whitney’s ESTO organization in Columbus, GA seeks a Principal Structures Engineer to support commercial engine programs. You will perform structural analyses for LPC/HPC components using hand calculations, 2D/3D FEM, ANSYS, and collaborate with CIPT, ESTO, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver structural deliverables.

Required: BS in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years; strong communication skills; travel <10%.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience performing structural analyses on components or hardware using ANSYS or equivalent, and ability to manage multiple technical assignments and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural analyses for LPC and HPC components using hand calculations and FEM.
• Support redesigns and improvement projects to enhance producibility and performance.
• Assess nonconformances and supplier information requests, identifying issues and resolutions.
• Collaborate with CIPT, ESTO, quality, and manufacturing to deliver structural deliverables.
• Document analyses and present results and recommendations to teams and customers.
