Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney ESTO unit seeks a proactive Principal Structures Engineer in Midland, GA to support commercial engine programs. You will perform structural analyses of LPC/HPC components, collaborate with CIPT, ESTO, quality and manufacturing teams, and help resolve issues to improve hardware producibility.

You will gain hands-on experience with hand calculations, 2D/3D FE modeling, ANSYS and Pratt & Whitney standards while contributing to ongoing producibility projects and quality

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering and 8 years of relevant structural analysis experience.
• Experience using ANSYS or equivalent software and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• U.S. Person status required.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural analyses for LPC and HPC components using hand calculations and FE modeling.
• Perform structural assessments for proactive redesigns to improve producibility and performance.
• Analyze and resolve quality nonconformances and supplier requests for information.
• Collaborate with CIPT, ESTO, quality and manufacturing teams to deliver structural deliverables.
• Document analyses and present results and recommendations to teams and customers.
