Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney East Hartford campus seeks a self-motivated Structures Engineer (P2) to lead cross-functional engineering efforts in ESTO, focused on compressions systems. You will perform structural analyses, mentor engineers, and support production with producibility improvements while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM and 2 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in Engineering.
• Ability to perform structural analyses using hand calculations and finite element modeling.
• Experience with producibility in aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support engine production with day-to-day activities, driving producibility improvements and handling quality issues.
• Perform structural analyses via hand calculations and finite element modeling.
• Provide technical mentorship and promote safety and best practices.
• Collaborate with outsourced engineers to maintain deliverable quality.
• Support proactive technical efforts to improve producibility of cold-section hardware.
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
