Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking an experienced Building Structural Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert and technical resource for the Structural Group. You will focus on growing technical capabilities, standards, and providing direction on large and complex projects.

The role involves mentoring staff, leading QA/QC, and delivering practical, cost-effective structural solutions across diverse project types. Periodic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE or SE licensure required; may require additional licensure.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Proficiency with RAM Concept, SAP2000 and ETABS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for building and vertical structural projects and set direction for complex projects.
• Develop and train engineering staff in their practice areas to maximize technical proficiency.
• Maintain and develop Structural Group standards, calculation/modeling methods and practices.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of structural calculations, drawings and deliverables for quality and constructability.
• Manage the overall QA/QC process for the Structural Group.
• Develop internal training material and participate in performance reviews.
• Promote Structurepoint services as a subject matter expert in structural engineering.
• Assist in developing qualifications packages and proposals.
