Job summary

American Structurepoint seeks an experienced Building Structural Engineer to serve as a Technical Director within the Structural Group. The role focuses on growing technical capabilities, establishing group standards and providing direction for large, complex projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
PE or SE licensure; NCEES SE exam preferred.
15+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for building structural projects and set direction for complex projects.
Develop and train engineering staff to maximize technical proficiency.
Maintain and develop Structural Group standards, calculation/modeling methods and practices.
Perform Quality Control reviews of structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
Manage the overall Quality Assurance / Quality Control process for the Structural Group.
Develop internal training material.
Participate in employee performance reviews.
Promote Structurepoint services by establishing a reputation as a structural engineering expert.
Assist in developing qualifications packages and proposals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
