Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Building Structural Engineer to join the Structural Group as Technical Director. You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding complex projects and expanding technical capabilities across staff while upholding design standards.

You will lead QA/QC processes, mentor engineers, develop training material, and coordinate BD efforts to promote services. Travel to offices may be required, and remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure is required; SE preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with high-rise, post-tensioned, or complex structures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for building and vertical structural projects and set direction for complex projects.
• Develop and train engineering staff to maximize technical proficiency.
• Maintain Structural Group standards, calculation methods, and practices.
• Perform Quality Control reviews of calculations, drawings, and specs for quality and compliance.
• Manage the overall QA/QC process for the Structural Group.
• Develop internal training material.
• Participate in employee performance reviews.
• Promote Structurepoint services as a SME in structural engineering.
• Assist in development of qualifications packages and proposals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
