Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a Structural Technical Director in a remote role with responsibilities across multiple US design centers. The role focuses on growing technical capabilities, establishing group standards, and guiding large, complex projects.

The candidate will lead the Structural Group, mentor staff, oversee QA/QC processes, and contribute to proposals and client-facing technical direction. Travel to offices will be required periodically.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure; PE acceptable with SE exam.
• Experience with high-rise structures, post-tensioned concrete, FE modeling, and elevated vibration analysis.
• Ability to attain licensure in states of operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for building and vertical projects.
• Develop and train staff to maximize technical proficiency.
• Maintain Structural Group standards and practices.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations and drawings.
• Manage QA/QC processes for the Structural Group.
• Develop training materials and participate in performance reviews.
• Promote the firm’s structural engineering expertise to the market.
• Assist in qualifications packages and proposals.
