Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) seeks a Structural Building Engineer – Project Manager to lead design teams across building structures, coordinate with site groups, and serve as Engineer of Record while managing scope, budgets, and client relationships.

The role offers ESOP ownership, flexible scheduling, travel up to 10%, and opportunities to work from Collinsville, Effingham, Jefferson City, or St. Louis offices. Requires PE license, IL licensure, and 8+ years of building design experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a plus but not required).
• Registered PE.
• IL Structural Engineer licensure.
• 8+ years of building design experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the design, and coordinating work with staff and design team members.
• Serve as Engineer of Record, signing/sealing calculations and construction documents as required.
• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures.
• Act as a key contact with clients, contractors, and local officials.
• Collaborate with CDI leaders and team members to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
• Ensure compliance with CDI’s safety procedures.
