Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm seeking a Structural Building Engineer – Project Manager to lead and grow our Structures/Building group. Based across Collinsville, Effingham, or St.

Louis areas, you will guide project teams, manage scope and budgets, and act as Engineer of Record for diverse building projects. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and officials while ensuring design quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a plus but not required).
• Registered PE.
• IL Structural Engineer licensure.
• 8+ years plus of building design experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing structural engineering projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the design, and coordinating work with other staff and design team members.
• Being responsible as the Engineer of Record for project success, signing/sealing calculations and construction documents as required.
• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures
• Serving as a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local officials.
• Displaying an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types.
• Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
• Working collaboratively with the CDI Operations Leader, Project Development Leader, Project Engineers, and other team members to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
• Ensuring compliance with CDI’s safety procedures.
