Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is seeking a Structural Building Engineer – Project Manager to lead building structure projects and support site development.

You will act as Engineer of Record, sign/seal documents, and collaborate with our Structures/Building Group. Requirements include a Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering, PE license, IL licensure, and 8+ years of building design experience; proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; strong communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; licensure as PE is required/strongly preferred.
• Registered PE with IL structural licensure and 8+ years of building design experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit for structural design drawings and modeling.
• Project management experience with structural building projects and client coordination.
• Ability to lead, communicate effectively, and deliver quality within budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects by defining scope and budgets.
• Direct design and coordinate work with staff and design teams.
• Sign/seal calculations and construction documents as Engineer of Record.
• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures.
• Serve as point of contact with clients, contractors, and officials.
• Support in preparing engineering project proposals and schedules.
• Collaborate with leadership to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with CDI safety procedures.
