Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm seeking a Structural Building Engineer - Project Manager to lead building structure design and coordinate with site development groups.

The role emphasizes collaboration, quality, and client service across CDI’s three-state footprint. The position involves managing project scope, budgets, and schedules, with sign/seal responsibilities and travel up to 10% to supported CDI offices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.
• Registered PE in Illinois or ability to obtain.
• 8+ years building design experience with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects with scope and budget.
• Sign/seal calculations and construction documents as Engineer of Record.
• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings.
• Act as primary client contact with contractors and officials.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver on schedule and budget.
• Support proposals and ensure safety procedures are followed.
