Job summary

MiTek is seeking a Design Engineer IV to lead truss component design and repairs for customers. The role requires an active PE license and experience with SE/PE pathways.

You will ensure compliance with codes and collaborate with PEs, EITs, and managers across multiple offices, with travel as needed. The position offers a hybrid schedule from one of several engineering offices (Chesterfield, MO; Mission Viejo, CA; Roseville, CA; Tampa, FL) and a generous benefits package, including a $15,000

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering required; Civil or Structural preferred.
• Master's in Engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of related design experience with SE, or 10+ years with PE.

Responsibilities

• Design truss components based on customer parameters and codes to protect health, safety and welfare.
• Prepare design drawings or repairs for PE review and certification.
• Review work by EITs and seal their work.
• Mentor EITs and PEs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on complex problems with different building materials.
• Discuss engineering policies with PEs and Engineering Manager.
• Discuss project designs with customers for compliance.
• Assist customers in troubleshooting design problems.
