Job summary

MiTek designs truss components and repairs for customers and solves engineering challenges creatively. The role involves designing field repairs, ensuring safety and compliance, and collaborating with engineers, architects and building officials on customer projects.

A strong background in engineering principles and truss design, plus the ability to work with customers to troubleshoot issues, is required. Office collaboration and travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Engineering required, Civil/Structural or Mechanical preferred.
• Equivalent experience may substitute education.
• EIT or state board preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design field repairs and truss components per engineering principles.
• Review designs with customers to ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and officials on projects.
• Assist customers in troubleshooting and resolving design issues.
