Job summary

MiTek Industries is seeking a Design Engineer IV to lead complex truss component designs, repairs, and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes licensing with PE and SE credentials, mentoring junior engineers, and collaboration across engineering teams.

Hybrid work is available from multiple MiTek offices including Chesterfield, MO, and other U.S. locations. The candidate will guide design strategy, ensure codes are met, and mentor staff while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer required.
• Civil or Structural Engineering background preferred.
• Masters in Engineering preferred or helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design truss components based on customer parameters and codes.
• Prepare design drawings or repairs for PE review and certification.
• Review EIT work for accuracy and seals, mentor EITs/PEs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address complex problems with different materials.
