MiTek Inc. seeks a Design Engineer IV to advance sealing design of truss components and support repairs for customers. The role requires an active PE license and SE experience, with responsibilities spanning design, review, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

The position is hybrid, based in one of MiTek’s offices (Chesterfield MO, Mission Viejo CA, Roseville CA or Tampa FL) and reports to the Sr. Engineering Manager. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Civil or Structural preferred.
• Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of design experience with SE or 10+ years with PE.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is required.
• Structural License or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design truss components based on customer parameters and codes.
• Prepare drawings/repairs for PE review and certification.
• Review work by EITs for accuracy and seals.
• Mentor EITs and PEs.
• Collaborate across teams on complex problems and materials.
• Define engineering policies with the Engineering Manager and PEs.
• Discuss design modifications with customers.
• Assist customers in troubleshooting design issues.
• Discuss projects with Supervisor or Engineers for policy compliance.
