Job summary

MiTek is seeking a Design Engineer IV in the United States for a hybrid role across multiple offices, including Tampa, FL. You will seal truss designs and repairs, ensure compliance with building codes, and mentor junior staff. A Professional Engineer license is required, with SE/PE credentials preferred, and a possible $15,000 sign-on bonus.

This senior role reports to the Sr. Engineering Manager and offers a competitive salary with location-based adjustments and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license and SE/PE credentials.
• Bachelor's in Engineering with Civil/Structural focus.
• Master's in Engineering preferred.
• Proven ability to design complex truss components and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Design truss components based on customer specs and codes.
• Prepare design drawings or repairs for PE review and certification.
• Mentor EITs and PEs; review others' work for accuracy and seals.
