Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our High Performance Building division. The role involves leading structural design for diverse projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring designs meet IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318 and UFC standards.

The position offers remote and hybrid work options across the US, with occasional site visits. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required for this senior-level role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience with demonstrated experience in building and facility design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in seismic analysis and design of buildings.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360/341, and UFC.

Responsibilities

• Manage the structural design and analysis of building and facility projects.
• Lead structural engineering design for new construction, renovations, additions, and modifications to existing facilities.
• Develop structural systems for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems.
• Perform seismic design of buildings and structural systems in accordance with codes.
• Coordinate structural design requirements with multidisciplinary engineering teams and produce calculations and drawings.
