Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a full-time role that can be performed remotely or in a hybrid setting across the United States. The successful candidate will design and oversee structural systems for diverse projects, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of structural engineering experience, a PE license, and hands-on experience with seismic design and relevant codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience with building and facility design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in seismic analysis and design of buildings.
• Proficiency with Revit and structural analysis software (RISA/SAP2000).
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360.

Responsibilities

• Manage the structural design and analysis of building projects.
• Lead structural engineering design for new construction, renovations, additions, and modifications.
• Develop structural systems for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems.
• Perform and review structural calculations for gravity, wind, and seismic design.
• Coordinate structural design with architectural, civil, geotechnical, and other disciplines.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Occasional site visits to support field investigations and project coordination.
