Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our High Performance Building division. This full-time role may be performed remotely or in a hybrid setup from various US locations.

The candidate will lead structural design on diverse projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with IBC/ASCE standards while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. Ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong Revit/RISA/SAP2000 skills, with travel as needed (5%)

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• PE license required
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience
• Experience with seismic design of buildings
• Proficiency with Revit and structural design software
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360/341, UFC where applicable
• Ability to lead, review and direct project teams

Responsibilities

• Manage structural design and analysis of building projects
• Lead structural design for new construction, renovations and modifications
• Develop structural systems for steel, concrete, masonry, and foundations
• Perform seismic and gravity analysis per codes
• Produce calculations, drawings, specs and reports
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Coordinate with other disciplines and BIM teammates
• Perform site visits for coordination and verification
