Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our High Performance Building division. This full-time role supports a remote and/or hybrid work arrangement across the United States.

The successful candidate will lead structural design projects, mentor teammates, and ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC standards. The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years of experience in building design, and strong skills in Revit, RISA, and SAP2000.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience on building/facility design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in seismic analysis and design of buildings.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete, masonry, and foundations.
• Experience with RISA 3D or SAP2000.
• Experience developing/reviewing Revit models and construction documents.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360/341, and TMS 402/602.
• Ability to lead projects and guide teams.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the structural design and analysis of building projects.
• Lead design for new construction, renovations, and modifications.
• Develop structural systems for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundations.
• Perform and review structural calculations, including gravity, wind, and seismic.
• Perform seismic design according to ASCE 7 and codes.
• Deliver quality projects on schedule and within budgets.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specs, and reports.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical, and other disciplines.
• Develop BIM concepts using Revit and other tools.
