Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the High Performance Building division. This full-time role supports a range of projects from remote or hybrid locations across the US. The candidate will lead structural design teams, coordinate disciplines, and ensure code-compliant, safe structures.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of building experience, a PE license, and strong communication skills to mentor junior staff and deliver quality projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience on building/facility design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with seismic analysis and design of buildings.
• Proficiency with RISA/SAP2000 and Revit; familiarity with Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural design and analysis of building projects.
• Lead design for new construction, renovations, and modifications.
• Develop structural systems for steel, concrete, masonry, and foundations.
• Perform and review analyses for gravity, wind, and seismic loads.
• Ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, UFC as applicable.
