Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Project Lead Structural Engineer to guide a team of structural engineers, interface with clients, and manage a variety of projects in structural engineering. You will oversee design calculations, specifications, and deliverables, mentoring others to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include performing structural analysis of steel, concrete, and foundations, and traveling to client sites for reviews and field verification.

Qualifications

• Essential Skills and Experience: ABET-accredited BSCE in Structural Engineering, 10+ years in design/analysis of industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear facility structures, proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, ANSYS) and design codes (ASCE 7, AISC, ACI), strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of structural engineers and interface with clients and other disciplines.
• Direct preparation and review of design calculations, specs, reports and drawings.
• Supervise and mentor engineers to develop high quality deliverables.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members and foundations.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and construction coordination.
