Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior structural engineer to lead designs for new nuclear facilities and upgrades. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, guide junior staff, and contribute to safety-critical design reviews.

You will apply expertise in materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design, and perform calculations, developing specifications and supporting drawings for diverse nuclear projects. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 3+ years as part of a project team in design and analysis of structures (steel & concrete).
• Experience with structural analysis software and relevant design codes (ASCE7, AISC, ACI).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of structural engineers and interface with other disciplines.
• Guide the work of less experienced project team members on nuclear projects.
• Prepare and review design calculations, develop specs, and support drawing development.
