Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for industrial water facilities. The role focuses on designing structures supporting water treatment, leading with design experience, and collaborating with disciplines to deliver critical infrastructure.

The candidate will manage teams, supervise engineers in the US and overseas, and oversee projects with substantial construction values. ABET-accredited degree and a PE/EOR license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex structural analysis and prepare sketches for design of water and wastewater plants and industrial facilities.
• Supervise Structural Engineers and lead production teams on projects.
• Perform construction-phase duties such as site visits and review of submittals.
• Manage project changes and ensure compliance with Black & Veatch QC requirements.
• Coordinate work with architects and other engineers.
• Lead teams on projects with construction values > $200M.
• Provide guidance on design guides, standards, and codes.
