Job summary
Black & Veatch's Structural Team is seeking an experienced, senior Structural Engineer to design structures supporting water purification and treatment facilities, with focus on industrial clients and projects. The role involves leading design teams, coordinating with disciplines, and delivering projects with construction values over $200M, in a 100% employee‑owned environment.
Candidates should have ABET-accredited degree, 11+ years' experience, and proficiency with structural software; BV
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
- Active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer of record.
- Minimum 11 years related work experience.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Execute complex structural analysis and prepare drawings for water facilities and industrial sites.
- Supervise Structural Engineers and lead larger production teams.
- Perform site visits, RFIs, and review submittals during construction.
- Manage design fees, budgets, schedules, and QC requirements.
- Coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
- Lead teams on projects with construction values > $200M.
- Guide department design standards and engineering codes.
- Support resource management and continuous improvement.
