Black & Veatch is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer in the Water Department. The role focuses on supporting design standards, performing basic calculations, and assisting with project deliverables for infrastructure projects.

You will contribute to a variety of tasks, gain hands-on experience across disciplines, and grow within an employee-owned culture that emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Pre-employment checks may be required (background, drug screen, MVR).
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Reads and applies departmental design guides, standards, and codes.
• Contributes to preparation of engineering deliverables of limited scope.
• Performs routine research and assists with equipment/material selections.
• Supports data collection and basic engineering calculations within budget, schedule, and quality targets.
• Collaborates with project teams and clients to understand needs and information flow.
• Shares knowledge of current technology and processes with the team.
