Job summary

Black & Veatch’s Water Structural Services team is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to design and deliver resilient water infrastructure projects. The role focuses on water purification and treatment facilities with high-value projects and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The candidate will lead senior-level design work, mentor teams, and ensure compliance with codes while advancing project goals across markets such as power, industrial, and data centers.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead larger production teams and serve as the responsible charge for projects.
Execute complex structural analysis and design for water-related facilities.
Perform construction phase duties including site visits and RFIs.
Prepare design fee estimates and monitor progress against budget and schedule.
Coordinate work with architects and other discipline engineers.
Lead projects with construction values over $200M.
Develop and maintain engineering standards and QC requirements.
Guide others on engineering standards and codes.
