Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Structural Engineer focused on designing water purification and treatment facilities. You will work on structural systems, collaborate with multiple disciplines, and contribute to community infrastructure projects.

The role involves leadership of teams, coordination with architects/engineers, and ensuring standards compliance across projects. Hybrid work options may be available after initial period; relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from recognized accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR).
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex structural analysis and prepare drawings for water and wastewater treatment plants and other facilities.
• Supervise Structural Engineers and Technicians in drawing preparation and specifications.
• Lead larger production teams and serve as responsible charge for projects.
• Perform site visits and review contractor submittals during construction phase.
• Coordinate work with architects and other engineers; manage project budgets and schedules.
