Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to contribute to the design of steel and concrete structures and to ensure code compliance for complex projects. You will apply wind and seismic provisions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

You will own portions of the structural scope, mentor junior engineers, and drive quality and timely delivery while maintaining technical excellence across deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform conventional structural analysis and design for projects.
• Exercise engineering judgement in selecting appropriate techniques and criteria.
• Maintain high attention to detail and quality control; check own work and assist peers.
• Own and manage portions of the structural scope to meet schedule, budget, and quality.
