Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to perform substantial structural analysis and design for complex projects. You will collaborate with the Structural Lead and other disciplines to develop concepts and translate them into drawings and models.

You should have a BS in Civil Engineering (Structural), a PE license, and 10+ years of experience, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leading small teams

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design with minimal supervision
• Develop design concepts and communicate structural requirements to designers and drafters
• Lead or assist as Lead Structural Engineer on medium projects or Sub-Lead on larger projects
• Manage workload, meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
