Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to perform a significant portion of structural analysis and design for our projects. You will work with the design team, lead small teams or act as Sub-Lead on larger efforts, and ensure quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.

You should have a BS in Civil Engineering (Structural), a PE license, and 10+ years’ experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience leading small teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for projects with minimal supervision.
• Develop design concepts and communicate structural requirements to drafting teams.
• Lead or assist in leading small teams and mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
