Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join our design team. You will lead a group of engineers and designers, develop calculations, specifications, drawings, and the structural model, and coordinate with other disciplines to meet project goals.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, PE license, 4+ years of structural experience, and familiarity with US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC). Hybrid work policy supports office and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC
• Familiarity with structural design software a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Structural Engineers and Designers across calculations, specifications and drawings
• Develop and review structural models and analyses for projects
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design intent and constructability
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality control across the scope
• Possibly act as stamping Engineer of Record on assigned projects
