Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert in our Data Center team to lead structural engineering for a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will drive technical direction, coordinate with clients and contractors, and mentor project teams to ensure high-performing, constructible designs.

You will operate as a technical leader across design and construction, shaping delivery strategies while collaborating with stakeholders to meet demanding schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation) and structural analysis tools (RISA, RamSS, STAAD).
• Familiarity with building codes and industry design standards.
• Strong communication and leadership to mentor teams and interact with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality reviews of complex projects.
• Lead complex structural analyses and select appropriate methodologies.
• Develop and validate advanced structural models and establish modeling standards.
• Oversee calculations for member design and foundations, and guide schedules and documentation.
• Mentor structural leads and coordinate with clients and management.
