Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced structural designer to lead a team of designers, ensuring timely, accurate drawings within budget while upholding quality. You will coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers to resolve 3D clashes and verify design conditions on-site as needed.

The role spans diverse technologies in power generation, mining, oil & gas, and renewables, including carbon capture, solar, wind, storage, hydrogen and natural gas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural design and drafting.
• Associate degree in CAD tech preferred; CAD certificate required if no degree.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English. Need strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of designers to ensure structural drawings are completed on-time and within budget.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers and engineers to resolve clashes within the 3D model, including on-site verification.
• Adapt to a wide range of technologies in power generation, mining, oil & gas, and renewables, including carbon capture, solar, wind, and energy storage.
