Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a CAD designer to develop 3D models and 2D drawings of steel structures and foundations. The role combines office work with three days on-site and two remote days, with potential relocation support.

You'll collaborate with discipline teams, resolve model clashes, and support projects in power, mining, oil & gas, and renewables including carbon capture and energy storage. Experience and CAD proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in CAD technology or industry equivalent.
• CAD certificate required if you do not have a degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of CAD design experience.
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC and OSHA standards.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Independently produce structural drawings on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical designers to resolve 3D clashes; may travel to client sites.
• Develop CAD 3D models for steel and concrete foundations supporting 2D deliverables.
• Adapt to technologies across power, mining, oil & gas, renewables, carbon capture, solar, wind, storage.
