Job summary
Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a Project Lead Structural Engineer to guide a team of structural engineers, interface with clients and other disciplines, and manage diverse projects across industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear facilities.
Key duties include directing design calculations and reports, supervising deliverables, performing steel and concrete design, and coordinating site reviews, with travel to client and plant locations as needed.
Qualifications
- BSCE from ABET-accredited program.
- Ten+ years on a project team for industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear structures.
- Proficiency with major structural analysis software and design codes.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of structural engineers and interface with clients and other disciplines.
- Direct design calculations, specifications, and reports; support drawing development.
- Supervise and mentor others to deliver high-quality engineering outputs.
- Perform steel frame and concrete design, including connections and foundations.
- Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for reviews and field verification.
