Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Project Lead Structural Engineer to guide a team in structural analysis and design for industrial/heavy commercial and nuclear facilities. You will interface with clients and interdisciplinary engineers, oversee calculations, and mentor staff to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Located in the United States, this role emphasizes project leadership, strong communication, and hands-on verification across design reviews and field sites.

Qualifications

• BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ten+ years of experience on project teams for industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear structures.
• Proficiency with STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL or ANSYS.
• Familiarity with ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of structural engineers and interface with clients and other disciplines.
• Direct preparation and review of design calculations, specs, reports, and drawings.
• Mentor others to develop quality engineering deliverables.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, concrete members, and foundations.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
