Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join the Nuclear Power Group in the United States. You will develop structural layout drawings in 3-D plant layout models, lead design coordination, and mentor junior drafters while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve complex structural challenges.

The role emphasizes designing supports, reviewing layout drawings, and delivering coordinated deliverables across design phases in a client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of detailed design experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete drawings.
• Ability to interface with engineering and design teams across disciplines in power plant design.
• Proficiency with design software tools in executing 3D plant layout models.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural layout drawings in 3-D plant layout models.
• Lead coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of an integrated structural model.
• Mentor less experienced drafters and provide guidance to the design team.
• Coordinate field data gathering and support senior designers and engineers on site.
