Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a structural analyst to perform hand calcs and FE analysis of primary and secondary aerospace structures for New Glenn. You will document stress analyses to support drawings, build detailed models, and collaborate with design teams on trade studies.

The role requires B.S. in engineering plus 3+ years in structural analysis, with proficiency in Nastran/Optistruct/Ansys/Abaqus and FEMAP/Hypermesh. Relocation to WA/CO/FL is possible; strong mentoring skills needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering and 3+ years related experience.
• Proficient with Nastran, Optistruct, Ansys, Abaqus and related FE tools.
• Extensive understanding of FEM modeling techniques and hand-calculation methods.

Responsibilities

• Detailed hand Calc and FE analysis of primary and secondary aerospace structures.
• Documentation of stress analysis to support release of engineering drawings/documents.
• Build system and detail level models for structural design and trade studies.
• Mentor and perform analysis checks for junior designers/analysts in stress/stability/fracture analysis.
• Improve enterprise analysis capabilities and automation for model creation and reports.
