Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a qualified engineer to perform detailed hand calculations and FE analysis of primary and secondary aerospace structures for the New Glenn program. You will document stress analysis to support the release of engineering drawings and create reports for hardware qualification, while building system and detail models to support structural design.

The role requires 3+ years of engineering experience, proficiency with major FE/analysis tools, and the ability to mentor junior

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with 3+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency reading and manipulating input files: Nastran, Optistruct, Ansys, Abaqus.
• Hands-on FEM modeling and structural analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Detailed hand calculations and FE analysis of aerospace structures.
• Document stress analysis to support release of drawings.
• Prepare reports, test campaigns, and qualification documentation.
• Develop models to support structural design and trade studies.
• Mentor junior analysts in stress, stability, and fracture analysis.
