Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Structural Analyst III to support New Glenn's first stage analysis using hand calculations and FEM simulations. You will provide analysis substantiation, lead design guidance, and assist production as the program transitions from design to manufacture and operations.

The role requires strong structural analysis knowledge, experience with Abaqus, and effective cross-team collaboration to ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight and reliable hardware.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in spacecraft/launch vehicle structural analysis.
• Experience with Abaqus for aerospace structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Detailed hand calc and FEM analysis of primary and secondary aerospace structures.
• Drive hardware discrepancies to resolution with analysis substantiation.
• Document stress analysis to support release of parts and assemblies.
• Provide technical guidance on design concepts (risk vs. cost vs. performance).
• Participate in subsystem test planning, data reduction and analysis.
• Prepare technical content and present to internal/external customers.
