Blue Origin in Washington state seeks a Senior Structural Analyst/Engineer to lead design, certification, and testing of pressurized and unpressurized structures for the New Glenn rocket. You will mentor junior analysts, guide FEM analyses, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safety and reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on hand calculations, FE modelling with Nastran/Ansys/Abaqus, and process automation to improve analysis workflows with a strong emphasis on quality and mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years in aerospace structures.
• Proficiency with major analysis codes and FEM tools.
• Experience in development/qualification testing and load paths.

Responsibilities

• Detailed hand calculations and FE analysis of aerospace structures.
• Documentation of stress analysis to support drawings and docs.
• Create test campaigns and reports for hardware qualification.
• Support configuration development and trade studies with other teams.
• Mentor designers and junior analysts in stress analysis and processes.
• Improve enterprise analysis capabilities with automation and tools.
• Collaborate across disciplines and shop floor to deliver results.
